====== a2jmidid ====== {{metacard>}} a2jmidid is a daemon which bridges ALSA MIDI ports into the JACK MIDI world. For 'raw' MIDI ports, such as USB MIDI devices, you either need to run a2jmidid with the '-e' parameter, or add '-X raw' when running JACK. Interestingly, JACK developers (by way of Paul Davis) recommend using a2jmidid for exposing raw midi ports (https://community.ardour.org/node/4336), while the a2jmidid author recommends using the '-X raw' flag for JACK (https://gna.org/bugs/index.php?23272). {{tag>MIDI_Software JACK_MIDI ALSA_Seq}} ~~META:title=a2jmidid~~ ~~META:desc=exposes ALSA MIDI ports within the JACK MIDI system~~ ~~META:logo=~~ ~~META:link=http://home.gna.org/a2jmidid/~~ ~~META:screenshot=~~ ~~META:banner=~~ ~~META:author=Nedko Arnaudov~~ ~~META:download=~~ ~~META:version=8~~ ~~META:releasedate=2012-07-05~~
