====== Yoshimi ====== {{metacard>}} Yoshimi is a software synthesizer, a live soft-DSP audio signal generator. It receives MIDI signals as input either from ALSA MIDI or [[JACK]], and sends digital audio out via either direct ALSA output or through Jackd. It does not use soundfonts or samples, but instead generates all of its signals on the fly; it is a live soft-DSP synthesizer, it does not use soundfonts or samples. It was originally based on [[apps:all:zynaddsubfx]] 2.4.0, but Yoshimi is not ZynAddSubFX; additions and changes apply, and it includes many special performance-related enhancements too. {{tag>JACK JACK_MIDI FLTK Softsynths_And_Samplers ladish_L1 jack_session signal_generators synthesis_and_composition_packages midi_software}} ~~META:title=Yoshimi~~ ~~META:desc=A Software Synthesizer forked from ZynAddSubFX~~ ~~META:logo=~~ ~~META:link=http://yoshimi.github.io/~~ ~~META:screenshot=https://yoshimi.github.io/img/ui/Main.png~~ ~~META:banner=~~ ~~META:author=~~ ~~META:download=https://github.com/yoshimi/yoshimi/tarball/master/~~ ~~META:version=2.0~~ ~~META:releasedate=2021-03-01~~
