+Older revisions of the Midisport 2x2 need firmware to function, most distributions supply this by a package called midisport-firmware. Since a few years (probably since the release of the "Anniversary edition" seen in the picture above) it is fully class-compliant.
-Currently it's being sold as "Anniversary Edition" but this seems to be simply the same circuitry in a repainted box.
