U should ursandtend one thing- MIDI is simply a code for sending message to PC. Your sound card does not support MIDI transfer as it is designed to be a SOUND CARD, not the bridge between MIDI instrument and PC, though that would be pretty handy. If your Keyboard does not have any sound inside itself, you can not use a sound card, do you see a link here? If you keyboard only a midi keyboard, use USB port, thats the only and the best way to connect it.
