I am not sure why you have problems with riongoeticn. I usually do not use iMac with Tascam all the time, only when I record from Mic. I hate external stuff as it takes USB ports etc. So when I record, I connect Tascam and Logic automatically suggest using US 144 as a sound card, I can also chose this manually in settings of the project. As far as I know you should also install the drivers for US 144, they are free on the Tascam site. BTW my studio has changed a lot
