guitarix is a modular linux guitar mono amplifier to be used in a 'jackified' environment (Jack Audio Connection Kit). Guitarix provides one jack input port and two jack output ports.
It is designed to produce a nice trash/metal/rock/blues guitar sound. Your tone is processed by a main amp and a rack-section. Both can be routed separately and deliver a processed stereo-signal via Jack. You may fill the rack with effects from more than 25 built-in modules spanning from a simple noise-gate to brain-slashing modulation-fx like flanger, phaser, auto-wah, or with some LADSPA plugins.
guitarix include a convolution engine with support the load of Impulse Response wav files, based on zita-convolver. All controls can connected via (jack_midi) Midi learn with a midi controller.
guitarix comes with a tuner that looks and acts as a high-class analogue tuner.
